Question for women, do you think short hair is more liberating?

If you had long hair and cut it short, were you happy with it?Question for women, do you think short hair is more liberating?
Yes I'm completely happy with mine! My hair was 18...maybe 20 inches. I got it cut and donated it, and I've never felt better. Everyone I know even says I LOOK better.

It's so much easier to take care of, though I can't find any way to style it.

Do whatever makes you happy. It's just hair. If you're thinking about getting it cut, remember not everyone even HAS hair...like ppl who suffer with cancer....hair isn't that important, when it comes to finding a partner (bf/gf). If they truely loved you, then the hair would be the last thing on their minds. Be happy by just being you. Live. Laugh. and most importantly %26lt;3Question for women, do you think short hair is more liberating?
Is short hair liberating? Absolutely.

Does it fit within the beauty standard? Maybe not.

I think short hair is definitely more liberating. I had fairly long hair my entire life, and I chopped it all off when I was a junior in college. It was great, and it made me look older as I wasn't always wearing in a ponytail.

I cut my hair again two years later, and that time I shaved all but a half inch off. I loved it! It felt very free. However, not everyone would describe it as beautiful.

Also, if you like to change your hair a lot, depending on how short you cut it, your options will be limited.

If you are in middle/high school, you may want to try a haircut that is a little less dramatic. Cut it off, but do something you've seen in magazines. Remember, whatever you do... it's only hair. It'll grow back out, and you can always wear a hat. ;)
It's not more liberating, it's more liberal. lol.

I had long hair one time.

%26amp; february 16th 2007 I cut off 11 inches. (same day as Spears, how IRONIC.)

It felt good the moment I did it.

But looking back on the pictures of me with long hair in my yearbook, I cried knowing what I actually did.

(my hair got cut to like, chin length maybe.)

It took me a while to realize my mistake. Like 3 months.

%26amp; although I did locks of love %26amp; stuff... It probably wasn't the best choice I've ever made.

My hair STILL hasn't grown back.

%26amp; it's been SO long since my hair looked how it did.

The choice is up to you.

I wouldn't if you like your long hair or other people say they do.

If you wanna change it up a bit, get like layers or bangs or another cool style. You don't have to resort to the ultimate chop-off.
I never thought of it as liberating. But I guess you could call it that.

A friend of mine, had her hair cut just an inch long. She had really long hair before. I was in shock when I saw her %26amp; she told me that getting it cut to that length felt really good 'cause it felt as if she lost all the heavy baggage she carried for years. So, i guess it could be liberating.
i went from hair down to my waist , to about an inch and a half long and i loved it my neck never sweated and all you have to do in the morning is spike it and go!
I think it gave me more confidence, but i needed a change andam now growning i tout.

It is nice, bt it canget old.
