Not to be rude (well I'm not trying to be rude) but please if your not black do not answer this question. Are there any products I can find to grow my hair long and thicker than it is now? I've tried doo grow, wild hair growth, motions, etc but they never work with solving my hair problems (breakage A LOT, VERY thin hair, and SHORT). So does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks! Are there any hair products for black women out there that REALLY work?
I have heard alot of great things about using castor oil as a thickner. Sounds like what you really need though is a good moisurizer. Try going to the websites I have listed below. They are forums for Black women you are going through the same thing you are, and let me tell you, they know what they are talking about. These to forums are right on point when it comes to hair advice. Try going through the forums and see which are the options work best for you.Are there any hair products for black women out there that REALLY work?
Take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day or if dieting, before a meal. ACV has 93 vitamins and minerals so hair WILL grow. Take it from a black woman who has tried to grow her hair since she was 10. I am now 50 and finally growing my hair and nails. You must take it every day as directed for it to work properly. My hair has grown 3 inches in one month. No more adult acne either. Makes bones and teeth strong. Aid digestion, cure dandruff. Use pure coconut oil for optimum hair growth. Both cost just pennies and can be found at the local grocery store. You may use the coconut oil to keep face clear and clean. It is a good moisturizer for the entire body.
Not to be rude LOL you sound like my wife... she is very praticular with her hair care products and when I brought home bottles of Garniers Fructis sleek and shine (frizzy) shampoo she was rude ('this is white peoples shampoo';) very reluctant to try at first but after trying it she said that she would never use another =p
hey that's rude. doesn't matter what skin colors people have to answer this question. Well I'm not white or black. I'm asian and I just want to help you but if you don't like me to it's fine, just want to answer. And my natural hair color is black too. These are color-treated hair

joico-use the k-pak series it is awesome for black hair care i use it on my clients and they love it. Also by Sebastian there is a product called Wet its a great gel that keeps curl under control and helps the frizz
Alot of those products are garbage, packed with mineral oil and petrolatum, but they are not the cause of your breakage. You need to work on caring for your hair. The best site for advice is longhaircareforum.com. They have a forum dedicated to hair care and growth. You can read it without a subscription.

I use all of these products and have very health long hair.
Carol's Daughter's has a great line of black hair care products. You can order their stuff online or go to a Sephora store near you. I use the Rosemary Herbal Mint shampoo, the Tui smoothie hair conditioner and the Black Vanilla Leave In Conditioner- but make sure you read the descriptions of each of the products to find which ones may be good for your hair. My hair has really grown since using the products-- Good Luck!!
