Super short hair for women?

Recently my wife went with me to my barbershop to get her hair cut. She has always worn her hair quite short but he really buzzed her. He cut her sides and back with a #2 clipper blade(1/4';) and the top is less than an inch long. Around the ears and up the nape it is tapered to the scalp. He actually shaved her neck and sideburns with a straight razor. I love the way she looks now, but I must say it is very severe. She was ready to cry when he shaved her, but now she is talking about keeping the style. What is the general consensus of a haircut this short on a middleaged woman?Super short hair for women?
Good for her!! I have been tempted for a long time to sport a short cut. I've had long hair all my life! I just haven't the guts. And I know that's stupid but there it is! Your question has renewed the temptation! After all, it will grow back, right? I think short hair on a woman, no matter the age, is sophisticated and shows how individual and stylistic she is.

i think short hair is great. i wish i was one of the ppl who can cut it all off and still look great. im not down for getting my head shaved in any way, specially sideburns but if it looks great on you wife and you like it thats all that matters, other ppls opinion dont really matter!
If you like it, and she likes it, then thats awesome! Alot of women like the short hair, its easier to maintain.
I am glad you wrote i was thinking about a (almost buzz cut). I recently messed my shoulders up so i cannot raise my arms above sholder level without dislocating them... so I wanted something that i can wash and go with. I think (although there are exceptions to the rule) a slim face can pull off a short hair cut. I am there... I will do it this weekend. as long as you love it it is fine... If she is fine with it love it!!
Well I'm not middleaged, (I'm only 15), but most women are proud of their long hair, as far as I know. According to my History teacher, back during the Industrial Revolution, if women slacked off on the job then as punishment their hair was cut.








I've always had long hair, and I cut it short like twice, and it looked horrible. I look really bad with short hair, I'm glad mine's long.








But some women like short hair, I envy those that can pull it off!
none really it's whateva looks good on them and makes them feel good ...
I think really short hair on a woman makes them look like a lesbian but some people love it so just a matter of taste.
