Black women only!! Are pantene products for women of color beneficial for dry hair??

I just purchased Pantene for women of color Daily oil moisturizer and i was curious if this product will help my hair.. I have African American hair 4b hair type.. Please ladies if you are currently using this product feel free to discuss ur opinion on rather i should continue or not.. I really need to find a good daily moisturizer for my hair, that wiil leave it healthy and soft to the touch!!!!Black women only!! Are pantene products for women of color beneficial for dry hair??
Read all ingredients when you purchase any hair products rule of thumb if it doesn't sound natural it probably isn't. When dealing with natural hair you won't know what works for your hair type until you try them out. I have 4b hair type and like Aveda products not that crazy about Carol's Daughter. But like you I'm still searching for a product I love. Don't get to caught up in your hair type either because as black women it's hard to categorize our hair too too many variations....Black women only!! Are pantene products for women of color beneficial for dry hair??
Your question is in NO WAY racist so ignore the person above that seems to think so. She obviously doesn't know the exact meaning of racism.

Also, I wouldn't recommend that WHOLE line period. The shampoo has petroleum in it. I've heard of moisturizers have petroleum in it, but shampoo? As for the moisturizer, that too has petroleum or mineral oil in it and they aren't good for african american hair AT ALL. You should only used water based moisturizers. I use Organic Root Stimulator's Carrot Oil and I have absolutely no complaints. It has an aquired smell, but it doesn't bother me. But you need worried about more than just getting the right moisturizer. Your whole hair care regime will determine whether or not your hair will be moisturized enough, soft enough, shiny enough, etc.
Pantene makes about a million different kinds of shampoo and conditioner, but read the ingredients on the back of the bottles. Basically, it's JUST the packaging that's different. Most of the ingredients are the same no matter which one you buy. I've used a bunch of their products and really don't feel they've had any special effect on my hair. I have dry hair. I use Suave ';healthy curls conditioner.'; It's cheap and to me, it's just as good as the more expensive brands :-)
I have not used this specific product, but I have used some of this line, and I really like them. I would suggest Abba products also, there is a leave in cream conditioner that I highly recommend. This line is excellent. Also I have natural (African) hair - though you made reference to b4 type and I am not aware of what that means? Rusk hair product are another line that I think is excellent .... their 'calm' line is wonderful also. I use to use Palmer's Mink oil hair spray which was fantastic but I have not been able to locate it... if anyone knows where it can be found I would love to know. Thanks! Good luck!
i used to use pantene and it felt great the first day then throughout the week my hair felt worse and worse. So i stopped using it and switched to carols daughter and aveda. Aveda makes wonderful products, expensive, but your hair will thank you. I switch between the sap moss and damage remedy every week so i don't have a protein overload. Carols daughter makes good moisturizers but they're a little heavy at times, use very lightly. hope this helps :)
white girl here - sorry.

some pantene products contain carnuba wax (car wax). they are very bad for your hair because they don't feed your folicle.

you should try products that are sold by professional stylists. ask your stylist what she recommends. names to look for that would be good for your hair: Pravana, Joico, and Kenra. they are not products specifically for ethnic hair - but each line has some amazing shampoos and conditioners for helping nourish the hair.

nourishing your hair will give you the silky locks you want. it will take a bit longer and cost a little more, but, in the end, you will be happier.
pantene products leave waxy build up on my hair. go to the aveda store and get your hair products there. they are expensive, but well worth it. i have real black hair. none of thet hybrid stuff and i love aveda products. i use the smooth infusion line. it leaves my hair soft and supple. i know this will work. best wishes to your hair.
I tryed the pantene for black hair and it made my hair ultra thin, fuzzy, and kind of hard. But I used it with a extemly good deep conditioner and leave in condition er and it was less fuzzy and softer.
I used it and it does protect the color and all but it does not help moisturize your hair at all, what i used and really helps me is called do-gro but I'm not sure if it is sold in your area.
Geez people!!! How in the fooking world is this question racist? I just dont get how dumb some people are.

*** I havent used this product, so I dont have any answers sorry... I was just amazed at the stupidity of some people who answered.
I have the same type of hair let me know how you get on with the product as I am looking for a moisturizer a really good one.
people throwing the race card around.....for something stupid. im sure a ww has the same hair texture as a bw.
I'm a hairstylist, but seeing as though you are going to be racist about the whole thing, I'm not going to answer your question, nor give you any advice.
i've been a hairstylist for 5 years but i'm not gonna tell you because your being very racist!
