Can a ceramic curling iron or flat iron burn your hair?

i would really like to know because i'm thinking about buying curling/flat ironCan a ceramic curling iron or flat iron burn your hair?
I flat iron my hair all the time and it doesn't burn my hair. Curling irons don't burn your hair either. If you keep the flat iron or curler on a piece of hair too long, it can burn though. There are some special hair products that are especially made for heat styling and can prevent burning.Can a ceramic curling iron or flat iron burn your hair?
as for curling it think twice about a curling iron, I'd use a flat iron just because its better for you hair, its quicker and easier.

Heat damages %26amp; takes a toll on your hair eventually. Look for a thermal protector to spray on your hair
if you use it too much then it will ; be sure to spray heat protecter on your hair before straightening it.
