It seems as if she has extensions. I'm not sure what hair she would have used but I normally purchase Outre Marley Twist Braid.

She part large sections and twisted the hair in. If you're new to twisting from the root, you may want to start it as a braid, braid 1 inch down, then take 2 of the 3 pieces and twist them together 3 times, you'll then have 2 pieces to twist all the way down. I would think once she twisted them all the way down, she dipped them in almost boiling hot water, left them for about 5 seconds, dried with a towel, then cut them to the length she liked.

It's a beautiful style. Make sure that wearing a hairstyle that's ';too natural'; doesn't interfere with you keeping your job as many of us natural hair Black women know that our hair may jeopardize our job unfortunately. For the black women who wear natural hair, do you like this style and can you possibly explain how to achieve?
Oh absolutely. My best friend went natural. She first cut all her hair off, if you don't want to do that, at least cut out some of the perm. But the best thing to do is cut your hair off. Then wash it 1-2 a week. She would put olive oil in her hair and leave it. When it grew out about 3 inches (a couple months) she started twisting it and braiding it (either real hair cornrows or with ext.) Now it has been like 4 years and her hair is longer than the girl in the pic. You just have to maintain it and take care of it. It is hard at first. Im mixed and i have some pretty coarse hair, i had a perm a few times. But even afterwards I noticed my hair was drier and weaker. best to go natural if you can.
I love it.

I'm not natural yet, I'm actually transitioning to natural.

My advice:

-Use a moisturizer of your choice...apply it to the section of hair before you twist.

-Seal your ends with an oil.

-Style the twists as seen in the pic (probably with bobby pins)
It's cute. If your hair is thick enough, all you have to do is twist it. You may want to wash it first, foam it with setting lotion (or leave-in conditioner- and then twist. Let it air dry.
OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

IM SOOOO DOING THIS HAIRSTYLE!

AFR-CAM you with me? wink wink ;)

I am growing my hair first though. I want my hair longer. Right now I have my hair past my shoulders and I want it longer :)
