Well, most of us know that black peoples hair is different than white people hair.

Yes, your hair can grow to below your shoulders and even past your waist. My sister in laws hair is past her waist. She said that there is a hair growth oil or gel that you can put in your hair. DONT wash it too much, keep washing it like you are now.

Of course you know that african americans scalps dont produce the same amount of oil and grease that white people do, so you dont have to wash it as much, and that is why it is very course. I am Native American, my hair is very course, and grows like a freaking weed. It sucks.
it wuold take a while my friend is 14 years old never cut it and its still a little past her shoulders
wouldnt know been hard for me
yes
African American hair is prone to breakage, so the best thing for you hair would be to NEVER perm it. Don't use relaxers, it only makes the hair weaker. Use natural or organic products, that's the best thing for you. The best website for African American beauty is WWW.CAROLSDAUGHER.COM, the products are great! Also don't brush your hair when it's dry or wet for that matter, only comb it when it's washed. Use a lot of conditioner/moisturizers. And also, eat nutritious foods, vitamins that come from the inside of the body, help better the strength of your hair.
Diana Ross hair is a weave. But yes to your question my daddy's sister is 70 and she has hair to her hips which she grew.
Yes, I have several friends who aren't mixed and have really long hair. There are things that you can do to to make it grow but most of it is based on genetics, but one word of advice just because its long doesn't mean that its healthy.
yeah, of course.
It's possible to grow hair at any length, regardless of your race, gender, or age.
Why wouldn't it be? Hair is hair regardless of your race...
Yes,it's possible. Diana Ross grew her's waist-length.
It's possible...but it takes PATIENCE AND WORK!!!!

Some of my in laws are black and have VERY VERY LONG HAIR. This is what they do...

1. Wash it on a regular basis. Don't use grease, too much gel etc.

2. use more natural things like...hot oil treatments, carrot oil, for the hair and scalp

3. Trim regularly (keep those split ends away)

4. NO MORE PERMS, PRESSING COMBS this just tears your hair apart

5. No more color (unless it temporary; or if it's highlights)

6. Cut back on the heat...if you have to blowdry/flat iron etc. get BIOSILK. It's a heaven-made product and you won't regret spending a little extra to get it

-----hint, usually at Regis salons, they have a clearance table. try to find Biosilk on clearance at one---

good luck!!!!!!!
Of course it is!! The key is to keep it healthy. Take vitamins and drink plent of water. Try not to use too many products on it and let it rest atleast 2 times during the week. By that I mean wrap it up and no combing. Warm Spirit has great product for hair. warmspirit.com, use ID 23132 or http://www.pricester.com/WebSpace/dataintegrity/.

Good luck!!!
well i don't see why not..

what would hold your hair back from growing that long.
