yes because it grows out like a black cotton ballCulturally speaking is it rare for a black woman to have hair this long?
Oh please,I've seen longer than that and no it's not rare. Before cutting my hair to a medium length from the year 2007 (sorry,I don't have the pic for it anymore),my hair was down to my waist and longer than that girl's picture. And on more info, even black women with the most course/kinky or Afro type hair, even ones who aren't mixed with other race can grow it that long depending on how much they manage, taking care of their hair at a healthy state or some can are able to grow hair that naturally long while some don't.

%26gt;:-( UGH at some of these people saying how only black people can have long hair if they're mixed or it has to be a wig/weave.

Zumaria is absolutely on point too, especially if someones wants to achieve long hair length, they must manage it and start at a process to begin with healthy hair.
No. I grew up with girls with long thick hair like that, never wore weaves or anything. My sister also has long thick hair like that. People always thought she had a weave in, but she has never wore one.

The reason so many black women have short hair now is sometimes not knowing how to care for it or not having the money to properly care for it.

Black hair is fragile, whether relaxed or natural, and requires good care, and if care is given, black women can have long, healthy hair.
It is not rare for black women to have long hair. In some cases black women may need to do more to care for their hair to make it grow. Anyone can have long hair if they are taking care of it. Long hair isn't limited to anyone. Whats more important is if the hair is healthy, not if its long.

Not really, I see women of all races with long hair. [Indians typically have really long hair though.]

But these days a lot of black girls wear weaves [I still don't know how they work] so you never know if it's her real hair or not.
Yes it is culturally possible most of them don't take care of their hair they tend to wear a lot of weave wich prevent natural hair from reaching their scalp.
Not when it's that texture. it's actually common when it's that texture.

Our hair types vary- another unique aspect of browness.
is not rare, but is not that common. my best friend has hair longer than that.
No, their are plenty of black women with long natural hair
Why these questions????

It's like me asking, ';Is it rare for a white women to actually have a butt?';
Why is Kate such a hater?

And no, its not rare.
No, why?
well duh you see it dont you
no...
yes unless they are mixed down the line, blacks are not know for their long hair unless it is in dreads.
Unless she is wearing a weave or a wig. But the hair underneath that is usually as short as Kobe Bryant's.
