Question for the natural haired black women- How long did it take for your natural afro hair to grow long?

its been like that for about a year and a half.


we have to also consider shrinkage.


my hair shrinks when its wet, and i can pull it out and straighten it and its a lil bob almost to my shoulders.Question for the natural haired black women- How long did it take for your natural afro hair to grow long?
I don't know much about natural hair (just relaxed) but I know several who do.

Well most of my younger years i wanted it to be as long as my mum's as hers....was mid-back-Length and mine was above my ears!





But as I've got older,and my hair texture has changed SO much (without any chemicals...ever!)


it has grown so much longer than i could ever of imagined!





I have good quality hair to start with,(definitely got that from my mum!),but i also take care of it.





It's very hard work,but it's worth it......





My hair at the moment is past my shoulders but has been longer.





(I get it cut quite allot so that's why it's shorter than usual at the moment!)





Most black people want long hair but can't be bothered to put in the hard work,like Conditioning/Shampooing/Oiling Scalp/Plaiting every night,and then wonder why there hair doesn't grow?!





And they are also ...petrified of getting it cut!





If you don't do all of what I've mentioned above then you stand know chance of it growing at all!





.....And hair extension's don't do any good either...even though they are designed to make you're hair grow...they are also suffocating the root's and stopping it from growing,if they are in too long!





Having said all of that...some black people are never gonna have long hair know matter what they do...sometimes it's down to genetics's.And even though it's very short...you can still take care of it.
