Actully it's called a relaxer. I switched and it my hair grows alot faster now and my ends aren't as damaged anymore. No it's not harder to maintain, i still get it pressed every two weeks, and braided in the summer when it get too hot to keep it done.

I don't know about growing faster. I don't cut my hair so I have no basis for comparison but as much as I hate to admit it, for me personally it is harder to maintain. When my hair is natural, I get more compliments from Black men and people of other races, believe it or not. Black women tend to think I've lost my mind for some strange reason. But, I've done it before and I'm about to do it again. I'm just not comfortable with the idea of regularly putting chemicals in my hair, you know?

I recently decided to go natural. I was so used to getting relaxers every six weeks (since I was 11) and let me tell you, it was quite a transformation. It wasn't easy at first to maintain because I couldn't have the same styles as before, but I'm realizing that I absolutely love my natural hair. it does grow faster, it's thicker, it's healthier, and I love the wild curls.



Its past my shoulders now and some days its more untameable than others, but I think this look suits me best.
I doesn't necessarily grow faster, it just seems like it because now all your hair is not breaking off! lol. I definitely noticed an increase in growth. Yes...it's a bit harder to maintain.. depending on your hair type. It's more time consuming. But... if you don't know how to care for permed hair... it can be hard as well. Just learn the ropes and the tricks for taking care of natural hair, and I say it can be as easy as caring for any other type of hair.
I went natural 6 years ago and my hair grows faster and is thicker and a lot healthier.



And no, it isn't a lot harder to maintain, in fact having my hair natural its a lot easier to maintain.
No, but I sure can appreaciate the head full of hair its allowed me to grow.My hair is long but Im really not that intrested in long hair. I think its sad when people make a big deal out of it. As long as my hair is healthy, thats what matters to me.
