With a two year old, I would suggest keeping her hair 2-4 ponytails or possibly braids. You could do the ponytails yourself. If you do not know how to braid, most major cities have a high number of braiding salons. The price will depend on the size of the braids. The smaller the braid, the higher the price and the longer they will last and look nice.
The only way to remove the ';poofiness'; of her hair would be to press it with a straightening comb or perm it; both of which is probably too much for a two year old. If you decide to press (which is the least damaging), she would need to have it done every two or so weeks. It would probably be about $20 (depending on your location) or you could buy a pressing comb and do it yourself. I think pressing combs are about $35.For black/Arican American women %26amp; hairstylest How do I tame my daughters hair??
Take her to a African braiding shop. Since shes two it should not cost much. Caution them not to braid it tight.
You need to wash it and use a TON of oil, and then straighten it with a flat-iron if you want it straight.
Only wash it once a week or every other week, because everytime it gets wet it needs to be re-straightened, and that takes awhile.
Maybe get it done once and ask the hairstylist for tips...
I'm half-black, so my hair is like that too. Luckily, my mom is black and taught me how to deal with it. It's hard to explain...
i suggest that you find a styling serum for her hair so that will simply manage it. it will basiclly weigh it down a bit so it wont be so puffy. there are many good products for this... go to your hairstylists and ask them what they suggest. but make sure it is salon quality products... if her hair is all one length i suggest gettting some long layers in it. which really wont change her style but meke it seem less puffy
1st wash then get some tamer like gel or somthing put that on comb stratean do that about every other day and it should get tamed
GET SOMEONE TO BRAID IT. I THINK SHES TOO YOUNG TO GET A PERM BUT A PERM WOULD HELP. A PERM WOULD PROBABLY COST LIKE $20... NO BIGGY
Straiten it or put it in french braids.
just use hair oils and grease's and brush her hair into little ponytails and braid them. This style can last for abour 2-3 days. then just re-due it maybe nest time with twisties or w/e. After a while her hair will not be as poofy
go to the african american section of your local drug store hair section. There are lots of good creams and oil treatments which work great!!!
and as one person suggested, i'd suggest she has her hair in pigtails/braids most of the time.
good luck!!!=]
I have 4b hair. I wouldn't suggest taking a child that young to get it done its a waste of money and at that age the style wouldn't last long because of how young children play and run around. when i was young my mom used to just pull it in to a pony tail with a big poof. Or put it in about 6 sections and braid it. Luster's Pink Oil was a favorite for her to keep it in check. Just make sure you don't use too much or it can make hair really greasy.
y do u have a baby if ur only 16. u should have thought of that b4 lady.
