Just curious, I saw a little biracial girl (age about 7) me and her share the same skin tone, but she was born with blond hair.



I remember a customer I had in the past, she is white, but came back from tanning and was way pass my skin tone, but had blond hair.



So based on the above is blond (a rare hair color) only for whites and biracials?



No am not into having blond hair, just was curious of how people would answer.So its a no no for a black women to wear blond hair right?

If the child was born with blond hair, that is acceptable. If someone bleaches their hair and obviously is not a real blonde - that is when it becomes unacceptable. And not just with blacks - an arab woman or a mexican woman should not bleach their hair blond either. When it is obvious that is it a fake color - it isn't a good idea.
Its okay to have blonde hair if you are black (even if its unnatural)



We are all human and blonde hair is for Human hair!



There is a tribe in Africa that is very isolated and they only have blonde hair and blue eyes! They have black skins though! I dont know the name of the tribe anymore but you will have to do your research and see for yourself that all features originate in blacks including blonde hair and blue eyes. So if you want to wear your hair blonde I say go for it! :-)
I think blondish gold looks good on ';some'; women of color. it all depends on the skin tone. I could rock it (i dont, but I could) (I've had gold highlights before) Blonde/ orange/ yellow/gold- does NOT look good on darker skin. it just does not.



I mean ';blonde'; hair does not look good on dark skin, but gold colors in general DOES look good on dark skin.
hair color is determined by genetics,the biracial girl obviously has some fair-haired genes (most likely from white ancestors )and the white lady who tanned so darkly may have had some black ancestors ,I believe we are all so mixed by now that anything can happen,my 5 kids ,all with the same mom and dad,all have slightly different coloring,3 redheads, 2 blonds,2 green eyed , 2blue and one brown, one of my nephews has smokey gray eyes and no one in the fam has those .
according to society, black men and women are only suppose to look a certain way. we're not allowed to change anything about oursleves or it's seen as self hatred. Of course everyone else has the freedom to tan, change their hair color, get lip injections, butt pads, etc. But if we wear contacts or blond hair we're trying to be like other people...double standard.
It depends on their skin tone. Cause honestly a dark skinned black woman with blonde hair woud look like a fool.

It also depends on how light their blonde hair is, etc.

Overall, black women should stay away from blonde hair, well most, cause it doesn't look that good on MOST of them.

But if you can rock it, then go ahead.
I'ma tell you this. I've had almost every hair color. I live in Detroit and that's what we do down here at the salons. Back when TLC was huge, I got my hair done like T-Boz with the shaved bob look and it was blonde and it looked good on me cuz of my skin tone. I've had it since then with weaves and whatnot and I always got compliments, from blacks and whites.



I've had red hair too. And now I've just got a dark brown. My natural color is more ash brown.



We can wear any color we want. I got a white neighbor with blue hair so wth?
I think it depends on the person.

Ppl w/ 'narrower' facial features are okay w/ blond hair.

Before ppl criticize even this let me say that if ppl are used to seeing blond hair on women w/ narrow features (ie white women) then why wouldn't it look weird on a woman w/ broad features?
Everyone is different, you cant put all people into one category. Some people can wear it right, others cant. But then again it also is based on everyone's personal opinion. Either way who cares what people think? do what makes you happy.
It's not a no no...I think it just looks ghetto when the woman is dark as tar and bleaches her hair blonde. I think that light skin woman can pull it off without looking ghetto. I just haven't seen a dark skin woman pull that off yet.

I too know a little Black girl with natural Blonde(well very fair colored hair) and it's looks fine because it is natural. I just can't stand nasty fake weave.
i have blonde hairs on my body( like stomach and back)and i'm not mixed.. also many black people are born with colored hair.. brown, auburn, and bright red.. blonde hair is from a mutant gene. thats why most people have dark hair

I don't think it really matters...women of all colors and backgrounds color their hair. My granddaughter is bi-racial and has beautiful light brown hair with ringlet curls...
most black women with dyed blond hair look ridiculous... my niece has blond hair though and it looks nice, but it is her natural hair color!
Black and any other women, and people can DO WHATEVER THEY WANT!

allso i no i'm probably gonna get thumbs down for this but, black women are beautiful, naturally. and need to stop straightening their hair/wigs/extensions/weaves etc. cause white people ARE NOT the standard of beautifull. people from africa %26amp; then afro-americans %26amp; people with african features are the true standard. even though i'm christian and that tells us something different, science has proved we came from africa. so technically anyone who changed as in, straight hair, white or light skin tones, different eye colours etc %26amp; BLONDE hair, they are actually a mutation of the human race.
i think anyone who is not a natural blonde looks stupid w/ blonde hair, whatever the race. BUT i have seen some dark women with blonde hair and they look like FOOLS. so do asian women with bleached hair. WTF???
