They can work for both textures but their ingredients are not good for those with dry or curly hair. Their shampoos contain sulfates and their conditioners have silicones. Here are some sulfate free shampoo companies:

There products are marketed to women with straight and long hair.
It's always best to try things yourself because what works in
someones hair may or may not work for yours. I personally can say that
the shampoo dry's out my hair but for my mom it works well.
Don't be afraid to try new things but if your on a budget like so much of us
then sticks to the products that you know work for your hair.
Some simple tools that black women need for their hair is a good moisturizer (Bio Infusion or Organic Root Stimulator), shampoo (Cream of nature), conditioner (VO5 and Aphogee), detangler, leave-in, deep treatments/ oil (extra virgin olive oil), a wide tooth comb and some scrunchies.
Also use a silk scarf to cover you hair at night ad to avoid too much heat to the hair use flexi rods to get flowing low mantinence curls.
It's not as hard as it looks and it's all worth it.Can garnier line of hair products work for black women,or are they more suitable for caucasian women.?
Try them out ans see. Just because you don't always see them marketing towards Black women doesn't mean they won't work for our hair. I use all kinds of products, Tresemme,Chi,Pantene,John frieda,Redken etc and most of those products aren't marketed towards a Black woman but I use them because they work for my hair. When buying products for your hair you just have to worry about as a Black woman what ingredients are in it. There are lots of Marketed Black hair products that have ingredients in them that are super bad for the hair types Black people have.
With that said you can't limit yourself to certain product from what you see on tv. You can use whatever you choose to.
Why would they not work for blacks?its not like their body is any different from caucasian
