I'm white and I have fine, long straight hair. My black friend says that her hair is very dry, and it's not even long. She tells me that if I use hair dye formulated for black women it will most likely lift my hair higher, but not be as damaging as the same lift for white women's dye, because it takes into account that most black women ';relax'; their hair. She also says black women's hair, especially relaxed hair, tends to be dryer than white women's because it can be kinky or curly and the oil takes longer to get to the end of the hair. What do you think?I'm white...could I use hair dye for black women?
I think that you should ask a hair specialist. But, what i assume is that the dye would make your hair dry; feeling like hay or straw. But it is your choice to take the risks.
Why don't you just use hair dye for white women. It's always gonna be risk free!
