Fast hair growth for African American young women.?

I am African America, my hair is bery good, it's nice and soft, but it's shoulder length, and I was wondering if there were any fast acting hair growth oil, cream, greace, or OTC vitamin sipplement that will help my hair to grow at least don't to my waist or so.Fast hair growth for African American young women.?
Want to have healthier hair then you need hair vitamins. Your locks grow from the root. While Specialized shampoos cleanse out product and sebum build up on the root that can slow hair growth; The hair vitamin is the strongest method to grow out and strengthen existing hair no matter the cause of problems. People have used nutrition to help with hair loss for decades, i have known at least three woman who have tried this, and they saw significant improvement pretty quick..

Here are some things thats these hair vitamins help with..

Hair breakage

Brittle

Growing out hair that lacks nutrition

Strengthening

Extreme nutrition

Prevention of problems

Reverse hair aging due to lack of nutrition

Help with graying

I hope i helped someFast hair growth for African American young women.?
Well I know the stuff to use, but it's what I used on my son's hair. They both have a similar texture to what you describe...

and I braid it. I use ';Doo grow'; Stimulating Growth Oil, I got it at Sally's, as well as Super Sure Gro, by African Gold. I just saturate the scalp with the oil, then use the Super Sure Gro to grease their scalp, between braiding. Both have hair almost to their mid back.

Their hair grows hella fast.

Hope this helps!

What kind of doctor should a woman see for these symptoms:excessive hair growth, mucus, sweating & body odor?

also chronic fatigue, poor immune system. My regular Dr. has done all kinds of tests: thyroid, blood sugar, anemia, diabetes, mono. Everything on my blood test comes back normal, but these symptoms are NOT normal! I am talking serious sweating and odor, and thick body hair that grows where only men have hair. Even if I shave , I can start to see and feel stubble 6-8 hours later. When I exercise, my clothes get soaking wet. It is so disgusting and embarrassing! I need to know who can help me.What kind of doctor should a woman see for these symptoms:excessive hair growth, mucus, sweating %26amp; body odor?
You probably have polycystic ovaries. You can try an OB/GYN or skip that and go straight to an endocrinologist. What kind of doctor should a woman see for these symptoms:excessive hair growth, mucus, sweating %26amp; body odor?
How old are you? You probably have something called PCOS. It causes hair growth and all of the symptoms you are explaining. I am not sure EXACTLY what it is but I know someone who had it. I think they put her on a form of estrogen. I would go see a Gynecologists. Do a little research on PCOS yourself then you can be prepared when you go to the Doctor. Good Luck! Hope this helps.
SuperVib... said it well. Go to an endocrinologist. And you could go to an ob/gyn, but you might want to go to a reproductive endocrinologist instead. This is someone who specializes in both endocrinology and gynecology.

Is it ok for a pregnant woman to take hair growth vitamins such as fast grow or fast shampoo?

I would consult with my doctor but chances are if ou are pregant you will be taking prenatal vitamins and your hair will definitely grow.Is it ok for a pregnant woman to take hair growth vitamins such as fast grow or fast shampoo?
You need to ask your doctor or pharmacist. Most would recommend not taking anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. Good luck.Is it ok for a pregnant woman to take hair growth vitamins such as fast grow or fast shampoo?
You should only be taking prenatal some of the vitamins out there can induce labor...stop them immediately they could cause you to lose the baby the shampoo stuff is fine herbal stuff that is
you shouldn't take hair growth vitamins or anything whether you are pregnant or not because they don't work. they will just give you nutrients that you are probably already getting from your pregnancy diet. hair only grows 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch a month and thats if you are getting the vitamins there is no way to make it grow faster. just eat nutricious foods and it will do the same thing without having to spend extra money
well i think u deffinately need to ask ur doctor this is serious and i wouldnt trust the ppl off y! answers if i was you
i really don't think you should but your prenatal vitamins should still help =} maybe find past RDA level supplements like USANA essentials but ASK your doctor =D

Is there any multivatimins for hair growth? I have a thinning hair. It's embarrassing for a woman like me . Im?

Absoultey there is!

Naturally is obviously the best way.

You need to use a hair treatment like provillus, its natural and for men and women. I've been on it for 5 weeks and i must say there is a major improvement in my part. It has all the vitamins your hair needs and much more.I've used it and I had very good results.Provillus contains the only FDA-approved topical ingredient clinically proven to re grow hair.

I am sure this product will be worth your time for a second look since your money would be going into the right hands. In a survey conducted, 18 out of 20 people experienced a drastic change after using this product. None experienced any side effects.

Provillus offers the best possible and perennial solution for this problem for both men and women. One of the best parts of the provillus treatment is that it uses natural ingredients. This has accounted for its rising popularity. Thus it leaves the other products behind in this context, since most of the products contain harmful chemicals.

Provillus basically functions by removing the main cause of hair loss i.e. DHT. DHT damages the hair follicles and is responsible for the thinning of hair. It also restricts the re-growth of new hair. Provillus prevents its formation and it also promotes the growth of the new hair.

I use it once a day every evening. The area which i was balding in was the top middle portion of my head, not sure why cause no one in my family is loosing hair accept me so its not genetic. I have regrowth in that area, few strands are coming up and my wife says its so much better than it was before.

Well you might be aware that it is available for both men and women. The saw palmetto extract is basically present in the men's version whereas a combination of acids is present in the female version. Thus in addition to the solution of problem of hair loss it also nourishes hair.

Till now Provillus has been getting positive feedbacks so you needn't worry and instead be assured. It offers the its users complete satisfaction.

Well for one try using Mane N' Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the

time and it makes your hair grow faster. I;d say massage it into

your scalp b/c thats going to help the roots if you just put it on

the ends, it not going to do anything to it. You can find it at

walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water

to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should

use cold or luke warm water on your hair so it won't damage it.

Even hot water hurts your hair.

try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hair

If you use Rogain for women after pregnancy, do you think that would help keep the new hair growth?

Rogaine has a 40% success rate. Try Nettle Leaves or Stinging Nettle. 1000 mg a day and your hair will be back in no time! Rogaine is 8 months to see results. It should come back naturally anyway, but the nettle leaves will help it along. And it is safe if you are breastfeeding.

Your hair will always grow from the roots, so ';growth'; isn't your problem, it's length retention. Your hair is breaking off at the ends which is keeping it short and giving you bald patches. If you're wearing tight braids and weaves constantly then that could be the problem. To be honest, it's hard to say what's causing the problem because you don't give any information about your hair, your daily/weekly routine, or the products you use. SO, any information you get will be general. It could also be because of bad health, so you could see a doctor. Maybe it's apolecia. Who knows. Though, I've seen some horrible bald patches from women who constantly wear weaves and braids.

Consider going natural so you can regrow your hair. For all you know, it could be the strong relaxer chemicals that's finally taking a toll on your hair and causing it to break.

http://www.motowngirl.com
Your hair is probably sick. Maybe you need to give your hair some protein treatment. You know so eggs, mayo, oils Castor oil is very good for hair. This oil thickens up your hair. You need to treat your hair like it's your baby. If you give the baby good foods and vitamins the baby will grow tall and Strong,Right. So it is the same way with your hair. Research different hair site for the black woman and go with what you feel is right for your hair. Different things work with for different people. Have you tried braids and not micros. This to will aid in the process of hair growth,Are you putting relaxers in your hair often? This might be the problem to. Try going without chemicals for a while. I know this is a hard thing to say for us black women but sometimes we have to stop putting relaxers and color in our hair for a while and let our hair get back to its natural state. Have someone cornrow your hair and buy a nice human hair wig and wash your hair every two weeks deep condition your hair to and keep your hair moisturized and that might help too. When you do nothing to your hair it grows. My mom cut all of he perm out of her hair and kept it in braids for two years. of course she had them redone every three months. When she relaxed her hair after two years her hair was healthy. The length was in her back near her shoulder blades. Good luck. .www.ultrablackhair.com. Check it out.
from my research you need to moisturize it daily and condition/shampoo once every 1-2 weeks. wash it every 3-4 days. its impossible to make it grow faster but if your hair is too dry or brittle it will fall out making it appear as though its slowing. so as long as you keep it from drying out it should grow.
Mane N Tale Horse Shampoo.

Work great.

  • Hair growth for a black woman??

Wanted to know what's the normal rate for a black woman's hair of growth...I shaved my head in November(7 months ago) since then it grew 3 inches. Is it normal??In your opinion does it grow fast or slow?Hair growth for a black woman??
    The average growth is about 1/2'; a month, which would mean in 7 months it would grow about 3 1/2';

so your hair grows just a little slower than normal.

My hair grows about the same rate.

You should check out this site, I'm tri-racial and it helped me grow my hair 1'; past my shoulder (still working on it!)

It has a lot of different techinques to grow hair long, strong, and healthy including washing and combing techniques, hairstyles, a vitamin and mineral chart, and even food suggestions.

http://growafrohairlong.comHair growth for a black woman??
it depends on the person...not all black women grow at the same rate. I never understood why people consider black women all the same

Know of an all natural hair re-growth product and/or method for women, that has actually worked?

i have been losing my hair for about 20 years at an excellerated rate, in small clumps, after poisoning my scap with relaxer chemicals and hair bleach, back then. now i am menopausal, which may be making things worse. i use kneading/pulling from an old method from the 70's, a product called ';wild growth'; twice a week, and a recipe from the net with onions, nettle and alcohol. the last one seemed to at least stop it from dropping in clumps and drop less, and i can wash it without worrying about pulling alot out when detangling it after a wash, so i can now wash it more often, at least!

i am just not sure if i am seeing new growth yet......any experienced compadres out there?Know of an all natural hair re-growth product and/or method for women, that has actually worked?
Although I do not have personal experience using this treatment, I have heard that it does work to get hair growing:

** 2 TBSP freshly grated ginger root

** 2 TBSP jojoba or sesame oil

    * Put in a glass container %26amp; set on a warm windowsill for several days to ';steep';.

    * Rub this mixture into your scalp then sit in the sun (or a warm place) for about 30 minutes.

    * Shampoo well.

    * Rinse with apple cider vinegar and water - 1:8 ratio.

** Repeat this procedure as often as you can.Know of an all natural hair re-growth product and/or method for women, that has actually worked?

If you are menopausal most likely your thyroid is under active. One of the symptoms is loosing hair.

    You should seek medical advice.

Under Google do a search for hypothyroidism and look for symptoms. Also at your local library go the librarian and have her help research the subject.

    Saw Palmetto

Research shows that saw palmetto is probably the most effective of all natural hair loss remedies because it helps to prevent the development of the hair follicle killing substance known as DHT. Take as directed.

    Ginkgo Biloba

Ginkgo biloba helps to improve circulation to the scalp therefore enabling more nutrients to reach the hair follicles.

    Rosemary

One of the oldest hair loss remedies, mix 1 part rosemary oil with 2 parts almond oil and massage the scalp.

    Licorice

Another natural compound that helps to prevent the development of the hair follicle killing substance known as DHT. Add licorice to your normal shampoo.

    Horsetail

The high concentration of selenium and silicon found in this herb make it one of the better hair loss remedies. Add 1 teaspoon of dried horsetail to an herbal tea.

    Vitamin B Complex

Vitamin B aids in healthy hair growth. Take 50 mg three times a day.

    Sesame

Sesame seeds have ranked high on the list of chinese hair loss remedies for a long time. You can sprinkle the seeds on a variety of dishes.

    Lie Down At An Angle

For 15 minutes per day, lie down on a slanted board with your head lower than your feet. This helps deliver nutrient rich blood to the scalp.

    Biotin

Studies have shown that hair loss is associated with deficiencies in biotin, so one of the easiest hair loss remedies is to eat plenty of foods rich in biotin.

Foods such as brewer's yeast, brown rice, bulgur, green peas, lentils, oats, soybeans, sunflower seeds, and walnuts, or take a supplement of 300 mcg daily.

    Soy

Another one of the more effective hair loss remedies is soy. Foods that contain soy, such as soybeans, tempeh, and tofu have been known to reduce the formation of the hair loss causing compound known as DHT.

    Safflower

Safflower helps to open up the blood vessels in the scalp and the improved circulation helps get more nutrients to the hair follicles.

This is one of the more flexible hair loss remedies because you can take safflower oil and massage your scalp, or take a few tablespoons of whole safflower seeds and grind them up and then add the powder to an herbal shampoo.
Hi, I don't want to come across like I am trying to sell you something. I am a genuine person, mother of 4. I know of a phenominal product that is helping people all over the world with many ailments. Some of the testimonials actually include hair re-growth, plus as an added bonus the product is helping to eliminate menopausal symptoms like hot flashes. It is 100% safe and natural and doctors around the world are backing it up. If you would like, contact me and I can email you a link for the website. I would never spam you, that is unprofessional and not the type of reputation that I want. Feel free to contact me.
I am sorry to hear about your problem. I can sympathise, and i am only 25! During my teenage years i had a fantastic head of long thick dark hair, but when i got to my 20's something went wrong! I had a contraceptive implant put in my arm that after 2 months i noticed too much hair coming out when i washed/brushed my hair! I was shocked and scared and could not get the implant out fast enough (it was caused by inbalanced hormones). I went onto the internet to see if there were any supplements that i could take... I found Nourkrin. It is a small tablet that you take twice a day for an initial 6 months and then once a day for maintenance. It is completely natural and is made from herbs and the cartilage of deep sea fish) It is available in health food stores or online. I have noticed incredible results and would recommend that you should give it a go.
i haven't experienced this but i have members of my husbands family who have. my grandfather in law is an old time trapper and he swears by bear grease directly to the scalp (thats the fat from a bear) it sounds gross and would shock a whole lot of animal activists, but it works. i've seen the new growth with my own eyes.
After that much damage you may to repair the scalp. I would reccomend Dr. Christophers Complete Bone and Tissue formula. It comes in shampoo and conditioner, massage oil, syrup, ointment and capsules. I have included a link below.

Also natural progesterone cream would controll your estrogen levels so that your new hair will be healthy to.

African American /Black women what have you found effective for hair growth?

My hair is about shoulder length. It used to be down my back but for years I suffered from an eating disorder so it stopped growing.

I have recently been trying a new regime.

I use a hair oil called Amla [ it's Asian] before washing my hair and keep it on my air for about 4 hours before washing. I then wash my hair and leave in condiioner for about 2 hours. Then I rinse my hair then apply 100% pure coconut oil to my wet hair before drying it.

The only hair oil I use is coconut oil which doesn't smell bad and leaves my hair shiny. Is this regime ok?African American /Black women what have you found effective for hair growth?
Just trim your hair on a regular basis. Wash your hair weekly as well. Olive Oil Hair products are good as well as ArtEffex

Does shaving hair on head for woman stimulate hair growth? thicker & longer?

There are actually only two proven ways to stimulate hair growth. Mechanical and Chemical Induction of hair growth.

MECHANICAL: Plucking/Waxing - stimulates blood flow to the area thus nourishing hair follicles (all nutrients are delivered to tissue via blood). Short term hair growth is stimulated. However long term plucking/waxing etc can cause damage to hair follicles and even destroy them, resulting in less hair rather than more hair on the area in question.

CHEMICAL: Drug Induced Hair Follicle Stimulation - fFor example: hair growth on face can be stimulated by taking an oral hormonal drug. Same with hairs on head. Chemicals can be applied topically (regain and other over the counter products) or injected (stem cells, vitamin/mineral blends - injections for hair growth)Does shaving hair on head for woman stimulate hair growth? thicker %26amp; longer?

my friends hairdresser told her to take pre-natal vitamins to make her hair grow better. she said it also helped her fingernails, and made her boobs grow. And also if they are ok to take if you are not pregnant (she isn't and neither am I) I especially want to know about if they make your breasts grow.Pre-natal vitamins for non-pregnant women - for hair, nail, and breast growth - does it work?
I have never heard about the breats, but yes everything else is true. ALso it is ok to take pre-natal vitamins even if you are not pregnant. There is nothing wrong with a little extra Iron in your diet. Doctors even recommend taking Iron if your not pregnant but are of child baring years.Pre-natal vitamins for non-pregnant women - for hair, nail, and breast growth - does it work?
My doctor gave them to me because I was a bit anemic. They definitely helped my hair and nails. Haven't noticed any difference in the breast area, but I was enormous there to start with.
Vitamins are good for you whether or not they are prenatal. Prenatal vits are just formulated to help a woman to have the proper nutrients for her baby. If you want you can check out www.puritan.com thats a website that sells vitamins and you can actually buy vitamins to help with hair and nails. Good luck

I know that after having a child it is common to loose some hair, but it has been over a year and I am still loosing hair! I don't use blow dryers or any other hair styling tool, i never put my hair up in rubber bands, and i use a good shampoo and conditioner. I have yet to try hair regrowth products and was curious. Does anyone have any experience with a hair re-growth product that has worked for them? I have heard of a product line called Nioxin, does anyone know if it works?

Thanks!!!What is the best hair re-growth product for women?
There is no such thing! You would know that if you read the other questions here. This is asked a couple of times a day, and we keep telling you the same thing -- you can't make your hair grow faster or thicker. You got what you got.

Yes, you will lose hair after having a baby. They should have told you this when you were pregnant, or near the end, so you would know what to expect. This is perfectly normal.

Actually, while pregnant, you usually don't lose the hair you would in regular times, so when you finally deliver, those hairs all fall out at once. It will grow back. For now, it will be thinner, and when there is a sudden change, it seems even more thin than normal.

There is nothing to worry about. This is normal.

Does anyone know any tricks or products for faster hair growth, for a woman?

that would be to give your hair continuous oil massages and that would make it grow fast because it is getting nourishment.. also if you have oily hair then for sure it is going to grow fast because the oils in the hair make it grow fast!

there is also a conditioner like cream called hot oil treaments that make the hair grow fast! but use it only for 5 mins if u have oily hair.. :PDoes anyone know any tricks or products for faster hair growth, for a woman?

Like ones that you actually know work fast and well. What are some good hair growth treatment products for African American women?
those ';hair growht'; treatments don't really work. the average person's hair grow's 1/2 inch a month. Mine grows an inch a month, so it can differ for some people The only thing that you can do is wash it every week and make sure every time that you wash it you use a leave in conditioner. i deep condition every two weeks. And i trim my ends every two months when i get a perm. its also good to use ALL natural products. I use jane carter solution which is pretty good. its expensive but is worth it. And i spritz my hair with water every day at night, a little it helps add moisture.
